Filming Jamestown
Jamestown has been a dream project for me. For three seasons, I had the opportunity to develop this fascinating character, Chacrow. I worked my BUTT off learning the Pamunkey language, reawakening a legacy that hadn’t been spoken in well over 150 years! This project allowed me to reunite with my favorite Language Coach, Jesse Bowman Bruchac, and what a pleasure it was to feel so supported! Another one of my favorite colleagues from the past is Buck Woodard, who also served as our Cultural Consultant way back on my first big project, The New World. The Producers, Carnival Films, were fortunate to have him on board!
We filmed Jamestown across the ocean in Budapest, Hungary, what a magnificent city! I hope to return there one day soon!
